27 Weeks

How far along? 27 weeks and 3 days
How big is the baby? About 2 pounds, 14 inches
Are you in maternity clothes? Yes! I can only wear a couple of my regular tops. I also enjoy wearing Chad's t-shirts around the house. :)
How do you feel physically? I feel great but I'm starting to feel big and bump into things! I've had a lot of heartburn lately and restless legs (at night), but besides that I can't complain.
Sleep? I'm back to napping every day! I don't know why I can't seem to get through the day without it. I've been sleeping pretty good at night.
Miss anything? Caffeine.
Feeling movement of the baby? Oh my, she moves SO MUCH! She never seems to stop and even keeps me up sometimes at night. It's making me a little nervous about what an active baby she's going to be.
Food cravings? Sweets, fruits, cereal.
Gender of the baby? It's a GIRL!
Mood? I am having a blast preparing for our baby girl. I'm enjoying every moment. I've started to get a bad case of baby fever! Every infant I see makes my heart flutter and then melt. I just can't wait to have a newborn of my own to love on.

*I'll try to take a belly pic soon. :)*

All About Graham

I think its been a while since I really updated about Graham: what he does during the day and what he's into.

Graham LOVES books and loves to be read to (always has). Chad and I each read him probably 10-20 books per day!

Graham is such a good eater. He usually eats anything I serve him and cleans his plate. The only thing he really doesn't care for is pasta.

Graham sleeps from about 8:30-7:30 each night. He still takes a long (2-3 hr) nap every afternoon. He sleeps in his toddler bed but we are moving him to a twin bed soon. He has completely outgrown his pack n play.

Graham's obsession with cars and trucks continues! He is now also really into trains, boats, airplanes, and helicopters.

Graham's speech has improved so much! He says 2 and 3 word phrases throughout the day. He is learning new words every day. He has his yearly ECI evaluation this week and he did so well that he almost didn't qualify to receive services anymore.

Graham loves to see and play with his friends. He likes sharing his toys with his friends. Next month he will begin a mother's-day-out program at our church one day a week. He also gets to play with kids at bible class Sunday and Tuesday mornings, and at play group once a week.

Graham loves to run, gallop, and jump. He is full of energy! He also loves music and dancing.

Graham can now easily work most of his puzzles. He knows the colors purple, yellow, red, blue, and black. He likes to scribble with crayons. He likes to count....here's how he counts: two, two, TWO!

Graham is very shy and reserved but he's also very loving. He likes to give hugs and pats and kisses (on the mouth!). He likes to pat my tummy and talk about "baby."

We are biased, of course, but we just think he is the sweetest most precious boy. We thank the Lord for each day we spend with him.

Quick Visit to Arkansas

After looking for 3 years, my mom has gotten a full-time teaching job!! I am so happy for her. Today was her first day.

We decided last week to make a quick trip to Searcy Arkansas this week to visit my grandparents. Since my mom is starting her job, we won't be able to go any other time soon. Especially with Baby Molly coming in a few months! This was a very quick trip, just the 3 of us. We left Monday morning and came back Wednesday. Graham did pretty good in the car, especially with a little help from the DVD player my mom has in her car! It was wonderful to see my grandparents, and I always love visiting Searcy. My grandparents have lived there almost my whole life, and I went to college there at Harding. Not to mention I met my wonderful husband there!

We did some really fun things like getting coffee at Midnight Oil, shopping at Hays and the Harding Bookstore, walking around campus, eating at the Dixie Cafe, and getting strawberry shortcake in Bald Knob. It was short but sweet! We also spent a lot of time watching the Olympics, which I have really been enjoying. I think I'll be a little let down when its over! We were so busy, and there such a short time, that I didn't take any pictures.

Thanks Grama Frankie and Papa Carl for such a wonderful visit!

Potty Training

Just FYI, potty training is the hardest thing ever!

I really want Graham to be potty trained before Baby Molly comes. So I decided that this week (we didn't have anything going on) would be a good time to do it. I was very prepared. I read a potty training book, bought a potty chair and all kinds of goodies for rewards, and let Graham pick out his new big boy undies. I started on Tuesday.

After about a million accidents (OK not really but probably at least 30), several baths, tears cried, tantrums thrown, and once Graham and I were both completely miserable, I have decided that he is not ready to potty train. After all, I certainly can't make him use the potty, and he is not the greatest communicator. We'll try it again in a couple of months.....(maybe).

After all, Baby's not coming till November. I've still got plenty of time right??? I totally now believe mothers who have told me that potty training is the hardest thing they've ever done! Having Graham back in diapers has made me so happy, I've really been on cloud 9 ever since!

PS - If you have any tips for the next time I decide to tackle this, I'm all ears!
