What's New - 10 months

Graham is getting so big! A friend recently said to me, "He's like the size of a 2 year old!" Now that he is crawling all over, his body has become very long and lean. Speaking of crawling, in the last 2 weeks Graham has mastered the hands-and-knees crawl and given up the "army crawl." He is so fast! The number one word I would use to describe him right now is CURIOUS! He is no longer content to sit in the living room and play on the floor. He has to know what's going on the other rooms and what's on top of all the surfaces (couches, chairs, tables, etc.). He is pulling up. He usually pulls up to his knees, and to his feet if he really wants something.

One recent development is Graham's lack of enthusiasm for baby food. He wants real food! This definitely takes a little more planning and preparation on my part. Some of his new favorite foods are: mac and cheese, chicken (and really any kind of meat!), cheese, peas, cheerios, green beans, bananas, and carrots. He loves feeding himself. I still give him a little baby food at each meal as well. He seems to be eating so much now!!

Graham has always been a very good sleeper and still is. He sleeps about 11 hours each night and takes 2 naps each day. He sleeps about an hour in the morning and 2-3 hours in the afternoon. I am loving these long naps!

We love this little guy so much! We treasure each babble, each laugh, and each time pulls at our legs for attention. He is such a blessing and a ray of sunshine in our lives. Thank you Lord for this blessing!

Fun With Daddy

Graham loves to play with his Daddy! Although sometimes Daddy can drive me crazy by doing things that I consider slightly dangerous, most of the time I try to turn a blind eye! Graham sure does love it!

Best Buds

Last night night Graham's friend Mr. Jaxon Rich came over to play. It was adorable, they followed each other around as they played. Graham tends to get a little territorial about his toys =) but they still had fun!

Such a big boy!

Baby food is one stage of Graham's development that I will not be sad to see go! He really likes feeding himself, and I really like it too! (He still eats baby food too).

Graham loves his daddy!

Iced In

Today will be the 3rd day that the 3 of us are iced in the house together. The ice on the streets has not had a chance to melt because the temperatures have stayed in the low 20s. It has been wonderful to have Chad home with us! He has been able to work from home. If there wasn't any ice, we would probably all be home anyways because all 3 of us have colds. This is Graham's first cold. It has been kind of distressing to me because apparently there isn't much you can for a baby with a cold. You can give them saline drops, use a bulb syringe and a humidifier - all of which we have done. I guess we'll just be waiting for the cold to run its course and go away. I'm really ready for him to get better! He's had some trouble sleeping because he doesn't feel well. We are really thankful that we have had heat and water during this cold snap. There has been a power shortage here in Texas this week. I am also thankful that I made a big grocery trip on Monday! We haven't had to leave the house, but we are starting to really get some cabin fever. We'll see how much longer we're holed up here in the house, but for today at least we are staying home again. We haven't even gone out to take snow pictures - too sick, too cold. This week makes me think about the Laura Ingalls Wilder book that I love called The Long Winter. A few days stuck inside can seem so long for us. In the book they were stuck inside for months eating and drinking the same thing every day, no contact with the outside world. We really have a lot to be thankful for. God has taken good care of us! I have some fun Graham videos that I will upload soon.
