Swim Lessons

For the past two weeks Graham and I have been taking a mommy and me swim class. It took place at Ms. Jody's house, a woman who attends our church. She was a wonderful instructor! What made it even more fun was taking the class with two of my close friends: Tara and her son Jaxon, and Jessica and her son Max. Graham and I both had so much fun! All I have heard from him constantly is: "wawa! (water) Ja! (Jaxon) Baby! (Max)." Over and over. Graham learned some very important skills like kicking his legs on command, holding onto the pool wall, walking along the steps and in and out of the pool by himself, and holding his breath under water while kicking. By the end he could hold his breath under water for up to 7 seconds! It was a blast and I sure am proud of my little fish!

Here is the front and back of his certificate. I can't figure out how to turn them.

My mom took these two pictures but unfortunately Graham wasn't very happy the day she was there and had a hard time getting a good shot.

Craziness

It's been a while since we've moved...5 and 1/2 years to be exact. And I think things were a bit different then. First of all we didn't have nearly as much furniture and stuff as we do now, and second of all - we had no children. And third of all - Chad wasn't in Africa a week before we moved. It's much more crazy and stressful this time around! Last weekend we had a garage sale to try to cut down on the amount of stuff we have, since we're downsizing. It was a success! We made quite a bit of $, although it won't be enough to cover the cost of moving, like I had hoped. A big THANK YOU to my mom and dad who came out last Saturday to help us and to watch Graham. And today I finally got a chance to go scope out some rental properties and found the perfect one! We are applying for a lease. I hope and pray it will all work out, especially since Chad is leaving the day after tomorrow to go to Uganda for a week. I have been very busy packing for him and packing up items that the missionaries have requested for him to take. We are really going to miss him, but I know that this trip is really important for our family. In the craziness of the garage sale and the getting ready for Africa, I have not yet begun packing up our house to move in three weeks! Oh, did I mention that Graham and I started swim lessons on Monday?! I'm certainly not complaining about that though. It is SUPER fun and we are both loving it. I just have a lot piled on my plate right now.

Ahhhh, but there is a silver lining. We are going to the beach at St. Simons Island a week after we move for a week of relaxation and fun. I have a feeling it's going to be well deserved. :) Please pray that I can keep my head until then!

15 Weeks

How far along? 15 weeks and 4 days
How big is the baby? 4 inches long
Are you in maternity clothes? I can still wear my regular shirts! My regular bathing suits don't fit though, I'm really glad I got a maternity one.
How do you feel physically? I'm feeling back to my normal, usual self which feels wonderful!
Sleep? I've been sleeping really well. Still taking the occasional nap when I need to.
Miss anything? Can't think of anything....
Feeling movement of the baby? Not yet.
Food cravings? Cereal, fresh fruit, I am feeling really grossed out by lunchmeat and sometimes chicken
Gender of the baby? It's a BOY!
Mood? I'm so happy and excited. It's fun to be able to do some real planning now that we know it's a boy. We are getting ready to move so we're SUPER busy, but I'm feeling great and it's fun!

I made my first purchase for Baby Boy! It's a kit to make a felt appliqué stocking like this:

I made this one for Graham when I was pregnant with him:

I worked on it off and on for more than a year. I have only about 7 months to finish the one for the new baby before Christmas - hope I can do it!

Play Time With Daddy

This little boy:

can't wait for his Daddy to get home every night!

The first word out of Graham's mouth most morning is, "Daddy?" After he drinks his milk he runs to our bathroom to see if Daddy is still home getting ready. He usually is. Graham likes to sit on the vanity with him and pretend to put on deodorant, shave, and brush his teeth like Daddy does. Then when Daddy gets home in the evenings it's wrestle time! His favorite thing lately is to get a horsey ride.

We sure are looking forward to moving in a few weeks in order to shorten Chad's commute and hopefully bring these two even more time together!
