walking and talking....kind of

I love to hear Graham's sweet "baby talk." He still hasn't said any words yet, but he loves to communicate using his own little babbling.

Graham hasn't taken any steps on his own, but he now loves to walk holding onto his pooh train that he got for his birthday. He's getting pretty good at it. =)

A new thing that Graham has just started to do in the last week is carefully letting go and standing on his own. He is so cautious! This morning he stood for about 10 seconds. Hopefully this means that he will figure out walking pretty soon. Otherwise, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to carry him - he is getting so big and heavy!

Graham makes a lot of messes, but it's my pleasure to pick up after him. Every morning he has to make his rounds. First he opens the end table in the living room and pulls out all the remotes. Next he goes into the kitchen to look for leftover food in the seat of his high chair, and pull down the dishrag from the oven door. Then he finds his diaper bag and empties it. Last he looks to see if any doors are open for him to explore (I try to keep them closed). He also loves to pull items out of kitchen cabinets, empty trash cans, and clear off any surfaces he can reach. He keeps me on my toes!

Play Date

This week I had some of my fellow stay-at-home mommy friends over for a play date. We watched the babies play together (fun!) and then enjoyed lunch. There were 4 babies: 3 boys and 1 girl. I think they had a great time! Graham was a little upset at times to see other babies playing with his toys, but he really did pretty good.

Jaxon and Macy loved playing with Graham's chatterbox phone.

He looks like he's thinking, "help mom!"

Graham and Wyatt having a starring contest.

Taking pictures of the babies was challenging! I finally got 3 babies in one shot.

Sweet Wyatt! He is such a happy, smiley baby.

Jaxon loved to play with Graham's pooh train.

Graham and Jaxon! I tried to take several pictures of the two of them playing with this house, this was the best one!

Bye Bye!

For weeks we have been trying to teach Graham how to wave bye bye. There have been a very few isolated instances of him copying us. Today my good friend Tara was watching Graham for us in the afternoon. I came to pick him up and as we were leaving Tara said, "bye bye Graham!" And he started waving! It was so cute! I guess his little mind is soaking things in, slowly but surely. I'll try to get it on video soon. :)

13 months!

It's been a while since I have updated. Graham is 13 months old today! He now has 7 teeth: 4 on bottom and 3 on top. He is "cruising" all over the house. He walks carefully holding on to the furniture until he runs out of things to hold on to. =) He's not brave enough to let go yet. In the last month he has successfully transitioned from nursing to drinking whole milk. It was easier than I thought it would be! He has also been successful with having all of his pacis taken away. He still takes 2 good naps a day and sleeps about 11 hours a night. He eats 3 meals a day (all table food) and 1-2 snacks. His latest favorite food is toast. He wants toast for breakfast every morning. He has his 2nd ear infection this month (both ears infected!); but I consider us blessed that we've only had 2! His favorite toy is his pooh train that he got for his birthday - he loves it! He LOVES dogs - he laughs and squeals at Razz and any other dog he sees. His favorite time of day is probably bath time. He likes to open all of our drawers and cabinets and empty them out, keeping me very busy. That's all the Graham news I can think of right now. We love this little boy so so so MUCH!
